I met Richie for the first time somewhere back in the late 60's at Scout Camp. He instructed me in swimming and lifesaving during those years. He and Keith Wolfe were the ones that "Tapped " me out for OA. (Scared the crap out of me!!!) I haven't seen him since the mid 70's and kinda regret that but it seems like he has touched a lot of lives like he did mine. May he rest in peace.

I always enjoyed listening to his philosophy of life...he indeed was philosophical, and I will never forget the many discussions we had about the state of the world in general; these will always be very pleasurable memories, indeed.
