Thomas "Tom" Clyde Elliott, 64, of New Concord passed at 6:45 PM Thursday, August 27, 2020 at his home.
He was born on Wednesday, October 19, 1955 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late Burdette Elliott and Neva Marshall Elliott.
Tom was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he was very active serving as a deacon and a small group leader. He graduated from John Glenn High School class of 1975. He graduated OSU with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Economics in 1980 and received a Master's degree in Agriculture Education in 1984. He was a Boy Scout leader, assistant scout leader and scoutmaster for over 25 years for troops 510, 523 and 548. Tom was an order of the arrow member and a wood badge recipient. He was also an Eagle Scout and helped many young boys achieve their rank of Eagle Scout. Tom really liked anything outdoors; hunting, canoeing, farming, camping and horseback riding. Tom was a people person; he loved to visit over dessert and coffee.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Clark Elliott; two sons Kevin (Sierra) Elliott and Adam (Corey) Elliott; grandchildren Carly and Cade Elliott, Cameron, Emmy and Cael Elliott; a brother Dennis (Judy) Elliott; Nephews, Bradley (Mariyam) Elliott, Scott Elliott, Chad (Sarah) Clark and Russell (Erin) Clark; Niece, Ashley (Everett) Johnson; and great niece, Zoey Clark.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Richard Clark.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Friendship Baptist Church, 1390 Friendship Dr. New Concord, OH 43762.
