Ragine A Butler, 55 of Zanesville died at 8:45 AM Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Genesis Health Care following a sudden illness.
She was born November 30, 1966 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of Harold Roessler and Mary Louise "Mary Lou" Pfeifer Roessler .
Ragine was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and formerly employed at Longaberger. She was an avid Ohio State and San Francisco 49ers fan. Ragine enjoyed monthly card club and especially spending time with grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, James Butler; daughters, Rachella Roessler (Fiance: Eligah Swift)of Zanesville, Lucretia Smith of Zanesville; step-children, Jamell Butler of Zanesville and Victor Butler of Columbus; grandchildren, Messiah, Ziyan and Claiborne Swift and several step- grandchildren; sisters, Karen (Larry) Young of Zanesville, Christine (Robert) Rowe of Zanesville, Janet (Russ) Powers of Caldwell, Diane (Ralph) Milligan of Zanesville; brothers, Harold “Hal” Roessler Jr. of Zanesville and Michael (Jane) Roessler of Zanesville; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces & nephews. Ragine was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joshua Mc Connel and a sister, Ellen Baker.
Visitation will be held 6:00 - 8:00 PM with Christian vigil at 7:45 Friday March 18 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 19 at the St. Nicholas Catholic church with Fr. Martin Ralko as celebrant. Burial will conclude later.
