Phyllis P. Mast, 93 of Zanesville died at 8:45 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Genesis Hospital CCU.
She was born April 12, 1928 in Van Wert, Ohio the daughter of Wilbur Phillipy and Erma Borden Phillipy.
Phyllis was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She graduated from Van Wert High School in 1946 and from Wittenberg College in 1950. Phyllis was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority, served as a board member of Bethesda Hospital, treasurer and board member for the Zanesville Day Nursery, a 50-year member of the Bethesda Guild, a charter member of Beaux Arts, a member of the Authors Club and a member of the Moorings Yacht & Country Club in Vero Beach, Florida.
She is survived by her son, John B. (Patricia) Mast III, daughter Martha M. (Michael) Wagner; 6 grandchildren, Andrew Mast, Abigail Mast and her husband Brian McClure, Kathryn Mast Blood, Rachel Wagner and her husband Glenn Van Moffaert, Anne Wagner and Sarah Wagner; 3 great grandchildren, Theodore McClure, Madelyn Blood and Olivia Blood; and a sister, C. Sue (Harold) Adams. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John B. Mast whom she married September 1, 1951 and died January 29, 2001.
Visitation will be held 4:00 to 6:00 PM Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. The family will have a private service and burial.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Zanesville Museum of Art, 620 Military Rd., or to St. John's Lutheran Church, 116 North 7th, Street, Zanesville.
