Patrick William Murray, 79, of Walhonding passed at 6:58 AM on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Genesis E.R.
He was born on Sunday, November 22, 1942 in Newark Ohio the son of Charles Robert Murray and Ethel Edna Starcher.
Patrick was a member of UA Local 189, where he worked as a pipefitter until retirement. Since retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his great grandchildren. He liked going to stock car races, rodeos, reading- especially old west history and participated in pistol shooting competitions. Pat was the self proclaimed Mayor of Amsterdam in his earlier years and enjoyed fishing, coon hunting with his boys and his dog Brownie. Pat liked trap shooting, square dancing, bluegrass music, boxing, watching Archie Bunker. Pat enjoyed listening to the Big Red Machine 'Reds' on the radio and shootin' the breeze with his family and friends. Pat played the guitar and really got a kick out of making up funny little songs he would sing to the kids.
He is survived by his children: Corinna (Mark) Bowers, Karen Murray, Lonnie (Heather) Murray, Russ (Joy) Murray, Dan Murray, Wade Murray, Sheila Murray, Shirla "Prune" Murray, Jason Murray and fiancé Estherlyn Russell
Grandchildren: Nathan (Brittany) Lyons, Sarah (Shane) Williamson, Justin Murray (Bailey Cotter), Bryant Haren, Ashley Haren, Kelly (Tim) Bethel, Jessica (Jason) Roberts, Chad McMannis, Andrea (Tim) Clark, Nick (Brandy) Murray, Kenny Walters, Jessica Frye, Jillena McGowan, Montana Murray, Luke Murray, Austin Mick (Cheyenne Kessler), Alan Farrell, Keri Sikora and fiancé Brandon Mosholder

Pat is survived by his brother: Charles 'Chuck' Murray and sisters: Ethel 'Sis' Rhodes, Patricia 'Patty' (Bob) Mabry, Nancy (Tom) Ulrich, as well as, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by Retha Sloter Murray the mother of their children.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, his brother in law James 'Jim' Rhodes, sister in law Patty (Williams) Murray, and nephew Tommy Murray.
No Public visitation or service will be held at this time. Family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
