Patricia “Patty” Lou McGinnis born March 11, 1935 passed into heaven on Sunday November 27, 2022. Patty worked as a teachers aide at Munson Elementary, St. Thomas and St. Nicholas Elementary. She enjoyed traveling, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her grandpuppies. She loved singing and taking her grandchildren “round and round”. Patty had many friends whom she enjoyed visiting with. Though technology wasn’t her friend, she loved facetiming. She didn't know a stranger and everyone she met fell in love with her instantly.
Survived by husband of 62 years James McGinnis, Daughter Roxanne (Rick) Fisher. Grandchildren, Regan (Corry) Hazen, Ali, Shelli and Richard James “R.J.” Fisher. Great grandchildren, Jaggar, Aidan, Gavin, Avant, Sheron and Caden. Sister Janet Henson and brother Paul (Ruth) Homman. Brother-in-laws John (Helen) McGinnis, Steve (Helen) McGinnis, Don (Gale) McGinnis, and Sister-in-law Susan McGinnis. Nieces and Nephews: Kevin (Mary Lou) Maxwell, Kris Gildow, Casey (Julie) Henson, Jeff (Renne) Henson. Laura (Roman) Ebert. Michael (Tammy) Homman. Michael McGinnis and Scott Lowe.
Preceded in death by first husband Mac Clifton, parents Henry Melvin and Lillian Clyo Clark Homman, daughter Joan Renee Mcginnis. Sisters Vonda (Delm) Arnold and Wilma Homman-Maxwell (Bob) Buker. Brother-in-law Dick Henson. Nephews, Shawn McGinnis and Mathew Homman.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service at Zanesville Memorial Park will be held 1:00 PM Thursday December 8th with Pastor Tara Mitchell officiating.
