Michael "Mike" E. Melick

Michael "Mike" E. Melick, 72 of died at 3:16 PM Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Genesis Healthcare following a brief illness.
He was born December 11, 1949 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of Roy Eugene Melick and Helen “Squirt” Berkfield Melick.
Mike was a Carpenter and homebuilder and a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. He grew up and lived in Zanesville his entire life and coached basketball at St. Thomas for many years. Mike genuinely loved woodworking, foosball, and pool. He was a passionate sports fan for anything related to Ohio State, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians/Guardians and loved collecting sports memorabilia, autographs, vinyl records and sports cards.
He is survived by his children, Rachael (Ashland Gentry) Melick, Michael (Samantha) Melick, Matthew "Matt” Melick, Andrew "Andy" Melick and Jesse (Caylee Clemens) Melick; a grandson Rowan Melick & another grandchild on the way; three siblings; Pat (Beth) Melick of Powell, Karin “Cissie” (Terry) Kopchak of Zanesville and Kevin (Shari) Melick of Zanesville. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Patricia "Patty" A. Johnson Melick.
Visitataion will be held 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home.
