Martha Anne Silver

Martha Anne Silver, 75 of Zanesville died at 12:12 AM Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at the Genesis Healthcare following a short battle with cancer.
She was born on Sunday, July 21, 1946 in Zanesville OH the daughter of James (Jim) Paxton and Martha (Babe) E Paxton Haffler.
Martha graduated high school 1964 from St. Aloysius Academy in, New Lexington, OH, Then went on to graduate with and accounting degree from MATC. Martha was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nashport Ohio, and she retired in 2008 with over 21yr of service from Perry county board of developmental disability and in December, of 2013, she was employed at St. Mary’s, St. Ann’s Catholic church as a book keeper, where she was also a member of the Woman’s Club. She loved her dogs and cats. Was also a treasure of the Melody Lake Association.
Survived by a daughter Aimee (Eric) Mitchell one grandson Jeffrey Hicks and one granddaughter, Halee Mitchell all of New Lexington one brother William R (Susan) Paxton along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to parents she was preceded in death by husband E. Joseph Silver whom she married February 18, 1997, a brother, James "Joe" Joseph Paxton and a sister, Margaret E. McTeague
Visitation will be held from 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Friday, July 8, 2022 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Ryan Schmit as celebrant. Burial will conclude at the Maplewood Cemetery, New Lexington.
