Mark Beall Fell, 66 of Zanesville died Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his residence following an apparent heart attack.
He was born on Thursday, April 8, 1954 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of James "Jim" R. Fell and Jacquline “Jacquie” Marie Beall Fell.
Mark retired January of 2017 as a Boiler Operator / Water Treatment Specialist with Armco Steel / AK Steel after 34 years of service. In his younger years he had also worked at a railroad station near Parkersburg, WV, had delivered mail, worked in hay fields on farms, and even worked for a period of time at Kirkbride Boating. He was a Mason and enjoyed many hobbies. He was a pilot, a bicycle enthusiast, a mechanic, a jokester, and a jack-of-all-trades. He especially enjoyed spending time with his many friends, his boys and his animals. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone no matter what they needed.
Mark is survived by his loving companion of 27 years, Stefanie Moody Briggs; 2 brothers, Doug Fell & Rex Fell; a very special niece, Heather Fell; a very special granddaughter, Sophia Briggs; the youth group he mentored that he considered to be his own children, Joey (Rachel) Briggs, Chucky (Megan) Keeler, Jesse (Emilee Graham) Roberts, Doug (Jocelin) McCurdy, Matt (Jenna) Reed, Anthony Fowler, and Anthony (Shania Taylor) Moore; and his pet French bulldog, Millie. Mark was preceded in death by his parents.
Per Mark’s wishes a cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 with funeral service at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Burial of ashes will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. The family is requesting that any of Mark’s friends that have Hot Rod cars are encouraged to bring them the day of service for the procession to the cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter Society.
