Kevin Taylor Strang

December 13, 1988 ~ August 31, 2018 (age 29)
Zanesville – After two years of hard fought sobriety, Kevin “Taylor” Strang, 29, lost his battle with addiction on August 31, 2018 at his home.

Taylor was born in Zanesville, Ohio on December 13, 1988, to Kevin Alan Strang and Joni (Lawyer) Strang. He graduated from West Muskingum High School in 2007 and Ohio University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Geography. Taylor was an Eagle Scout, avid outdoorsman, animal lover and generally hilarious. When Taylor wasn’t enjoying music or playing his guitar, you could find him doting on his pets Steve and Pickles.

In addition to his parents, Taylor is survived by his partner Georgia Rosser and daughter Nora Loucille Strang; his sisters Emily (David) Strang Tarbert; Codi (John) Williamson and nieces and nephews Hannah, Ellie and Truman Tarbert and Rocco, Bruno, Franco Williamson; his maternal grandmother Betty Lawyer; and many supportive aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Robert and Marguerite Strang and maternal grandfather Donald E. Lawyer, along with several close friends who also lost their battle with addiction.

The family will receive friends Monday September 3rd from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with a “Celebration of Life” service to follow at 4:00 PM at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Muskingum Behavioral Health. A

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the many mental health professionals, substance abuse counselors and first responders who continue to fight against this epidemic.
