James "Jim" N. Blackburn

James "Jim" N. Blackburn, 64 of Heath, formerly of Zanesville died at 10:20 A.M. Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House following a lengthy illness.
he was born on Friday, July 12, 1957 in Gouverneur, NY the son of Kenneth Blackburn and Mary Monica Schaffer Blackburn.
Jim was employed in housekeeping & the custodial department for many years at the Muskingum County Home. He enjoyed fishing & had a wonderful sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Connie L. Lipps Blackburn; a son James (Karin) Blackburn Jr. and a daughter Tonya Blackburn; step daughter Donna Wade; 4 grandchildren, Courtney Piatt, Peytin Blackburn, Natasha Barnhart & Devin Barnhart; a great granddaughter, Hadley Arquiett; step grandchildren, Jessica (Chris Henderson) Reed & Amber Reed; a step great granddaughter, Honesty Henderson; Siblings Allen (Cindy) Blackburn, William (Karen) Blackburn, Lawrence (Sue) Blackburn, Mark (Leslie) Blackburn, John (Penny) Blackburn, David Blackburn, Sharon Blair, Lucie (James) Cassoni; Sisters-in-Law, Carole Blackburn & Martha Blackburn and a brother-in-law, John Clarke & Kim Bisonette, and his long time friend John Reed. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Joyce Clarke, Linda Bisonette, Mary Beth Blackburn, Leon Blackburn, Stephen Blackburn & Joseph Blackburn; a step-son, Dallas Perani.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2022 with funeral service at 11:00 AM Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating. Burial will conclude at the Poplar Forks Cemetery.
