What a life he lived! Though I did not know George, I am dear friends with his daughter Sheryl and I feel honored to have had the opportunity to read and learn a little about the life of such a beautiful person. The world was blessed and a better place with George in it.
May he now truly rest in the peace and embrace of our Lord in heaven.

To not have known GV we consider a giant hole in our lives. His life story reminds us of the marvelous lives and deeds of that Great Generation. As retired military, we are amazed at their exploits during their service. As wine makers and avid gardeners, we bemoan his loss. As parents of six, we love the stories of his home life and family interaction. We cherish knowing or meeting similar men, who served their God, Country, and Family like GV did. Goodby GV, mission accomplished.

So sorry to hear about the passing of George. I wish I could have met him under different circumstances, but I did enjoy the time I did get to spend with him. My heart goes out to the family. Thoughts and prayers...Carrie Anderson (HomeInstead Senior Care)

Patty, Sheryl, Bill and Shannon and families,
My heart hurts for each of you. George was a wonderful man and a great family friend.
Always loved the wine and the corn and tomatoes he shared with so many! It was always wonderful to see him go day in and day out to the cottage to tend the garden. Rain, snow, sleet or shine...he was there! I can't count the times he told me , Patty , that you were the love of his life!
Will really miss him.
Love to all,
Lynda and Jim Sharrer
