George Richard "Dick" Schultheis, 85 of Zanesville died peacefully at 12:30 PM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 with his family by his side.
He was born June 12, 1936 in Zanesville the son of George Allen Schultheis and Margaret (Evans) Schultheis.
Dick was a Zanesville High School graduate of 1954, Veteran of the United States Navy and United States Navy Reserve (Retired). He worked as Bricklayer at Kaiser Aluminum, was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, enjoyed playing tennis and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Misae Uehara Schultheis whom he married September 12, 1962, his daughters; Nancy (David) Suciu and Amy (William) Burns; Grandchildren, Emily (Erik) Cottrell, twins Bradley (Zarah) Suciu & Jeffrey Suciu, Braeden Burns and Derek Burns; Great-Grandchildren, Lillian, Eloise, Charles Richard. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Melanie Sterling, two brothers David Schultheis & Robert Schultheis.
The family will have a private graveside service with Military Honors at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
