Freda M. McConnell, 100 of Zanesville died at 9:50 AM Sunday, February 05, 2017 at the Cedar Hill Care Center.
She was born on August 20, 1916 in Zanesville the daughter of Harry B. and Mary L. (Slyder) LeMaster.
Freda retired from Brockway Glass after being employed there for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, camping, reading, bowling, and playing games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved her grand fur babies (Zoe, Ella, and Bailey).
She is survived by a sister, Geneva Reed, her son David McConnell (Alice) of Cocoa, Fl, daughter Joyce McCoid of Zanesville. Grandchildren, Todd (Kris) Wilson, Tammy (Shane) Foraker, and Traci McCoid all of Zanesville. Mark Houston, Angela Houston, Rick (Lisa) Houston, Valerie (Curt) Worden, Lisa Houston, David McConnell II, Andy (Dana) McConnell, and Shelly McConnell all from the Florida area. Great- grandchildren Ryan, Cody, Brittany, Paige, Ethan, Dara, Trey, Chase, Nikki, Jack, Natalie, JR, Caroline, Emily, Haley, and Angelina, and three great-great-grandchildren Donevan, Lexiana, and Madelynn as well as multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and several family friends that called her "grandma". In addition to her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence T. McConnell, her brother Kenneth LeMaster, a sister-n-law Frances LeMaster, and grand son-in-law, Donald (Ozzie) Osborne.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, Feb 18th at the First Church of God, 1930 Newark Rd. Zanesville OH.The Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville is in charge of the arrangements.
