Frank L. Williams

August 29, 1938 ~ January 24, 2023 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Tribute

Frank L. Williams, born August 29, 1938, passed away on January 24, 2023.

He was the son of Helen and Ed Williams. Born into a modest farm life in White Cottage, he learned to work hard but as a teenager found that his true passion was cars. That hobby turned into a 30-year career where he made a successful living as the owner of Williams Motor Sales. He and is his wife, Eleanor (Snack), operated the business as a team and he always acknowledged that her role was critical in their success. His customers were a priority even after sales as he always worked to fix problems himself or find the right person to fix them. Despite his sometimes-rough demeanor, Frank had a heart of gold. As he grew older, his generosity and kind heart surfaced even more, especially when it came to his family that he loved dearly. He was so proud of his grandchildren, Kyle, Kole, Evan, and Emma, and loved to receive calls or visits with them and hear about what was going on in their young lives. Frank was also a lover of dogs and had many over the years, but none were as special as his beloved Murphy. He was by Frank’s side at both home and work every day and night. More recently, his grand-dog Ziggy brought him back that joy that had been missing.

He is survived by his son Frank Jr., his daughter Jodi (Eric) Arnold, grandchildren, Kyle and Kole Williams, Emma and Evan Arnold, sisters Donna Baker and Barb Arbaugh, and a special sister-in-law Norma Jardine.

Frank was never one to show his emotions often but his wife Eleanor was the love of his life. He had missed her so much in the eight years since she passed but now can be reunited with her forever. Frank also lost an infant daughter, Kellie, but Lorrie Todd-Roberts came into his life and lovingly filled that role for him.

Frank was thankful for all his car lot buddies who kept each other laughing and enjoyed discussing the NASCAR racing circuit and it’s drivers.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Per Frank’s wishes, he will be cremated. Burial of his ashes at Zanesville Memorial Park next to his beloved wife will take place at a later date.
