Dru Williams, 69 of Adamsville died at 11:16 AM Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Genesis CCU following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born May 14, 1952 in Portsmouth Virginia the daughter of Ronald Jacobs and Mildred "Mary" Adelman Jacobs.
In her early years, Dru started working in Canton Ohio following her father’s career in Education. Having also lived and worked in Alliance, Loraine, Elyria, & Toronto Ohio, eventually landing a job in Zanesville as an elementary teacher at Munson School. She met her husband while teaching at Munson School and they married December 31, 1975 and later had two children. She was active in numerous activities and supported her children in many ways including a Cub Scout helper, 4H volunteer, Martial Arts Mom, Swimming Official with YMCA & also Ohio Athletic Association as a Secretary & Diving & Swimming official. She was also a Hunter Education Instructor for 33 years.
She is survived by her husband of just shy of 46 years, Sam E. Williams; two children; Nicole "Nikki" (Kyle) Hufford and Gregory "Greg" Williams; two grandchildren, Gabriel & Abbigail; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Dru was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, J. Michael Jacobs.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services observed.
