David "Dave" Lee Starrett

David "Dave" Lee Starrett, 82 of Zanesville died at 4:04 P.M. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home under hospice care.
He was born on May 9, 1936 in Zanesville the son of Carlos E. and Bernice Cline Starrett.
Dave was a Methodist by faith and a United States Marine Reservist. He was a retired bricklayer for local union 44 and a member of Masonic lodge 555. He especially enjoyed genealogy, woodworking, traveling & motorcycle riding.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol S. Riley Starrett; a son, Danny (Janet) Starrett; a daughter, Debra Starrett; 5 grandchildren, Kaci (Ryan) Favreau, Kyle (Emily Mullady) Southall, JD (Kristen) Starrett, Matt (Zach Jess) Starrett, and Zak Nezbeth; Great grandchildren, Kalin & Cohen Favreau and Kinsley Starrett; and his beloved pets, Goldie & Ginger. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, and his grandparents; Kenneth & Mary Starrett and Ernest & Bessie Cline.
Friends may call from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 9, 2018. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
