Tribute

David Earnest Magers, 73 of Zanesville, passed away Thursday December 17th, 2020 at Genesis Hospital.
 
He was born on July 16, 1947, the son of the late Harry James “Jack” and Marjorie (Bowers) Magers of Cambridge. He was a member of Coburn United Methodist Church in Zanesville. For many years he worked in Columbus at  Columbia Gas and Franklin County Board of Elections. He loved real estate, making it into a second career. Otherwise he enjoyed finding antiques, watching  classic films, driving Jaguar cars, and eating pecan pies. He especially loved his black poodles, Baron and Max.  
 
He is survived by his sister, Patricia McMillen, nephew Dr. Douglas McMillen (& April Benson and grand nephew, Calvin David) of Seattle, Washington, niece Amanda McMillen (& Chris Fleckenstein), Esq. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and nephew Russell McMillen (& Kimberly Roberts) of New Concord.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions be made to Coburn United Methodist Church, Muskingum County Center for Seniors or Christ’s Table.

The family is being served by the BRYAN & HARDWICK FUNERAL HOME 2318 Maple Ave, but they are holding off having visitation hours or a service at this time due to the pandemic. A celebration of his life will be held in the future when safely possible. He will be buried in Northwood Cemetery in Cambridge.
