Daniel F. Hoffer, 83, of Chandlersville passed at 2:39 A.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Genesis Hospital CCU.
He was born on Thursday, October 27, 1938 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late Christian and Garnett Lowry Hoffer.
Daniel was a member of Norwich United Methodist Church. He had a 1939 John Deere Tractor that belonged to his father that he loved to restore. Daniel was also a member of the Volunteer Fire Department for Perry Township. He enjoyed going to his grandchildren's ball games.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judith Tubbs Hoffer; two children, Deborah Ralph and Daniel (Maria) Hoffer; grandchildren, Brittney Hildebrand, Megan Soldat, Ashley Hoffer and Nicholas Hoffer; a great granddaughter, Loren; five siblings, Wilma Rock, Doris Sowers, Linda Robinson, Sandra Church and Diane Kreis; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by, siblings, Bid Mohler, John Mohler, George Mohler, Bobby Hoffer, Earl Hoffer, Mary Krause and an infant brother.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Keith Taylor officiating. Burial will conclude at Chandlersville Cemetery.
