Barbara Betty Oster, 92 of Nashport died at 9:02 PM Friday, June 2, 2017 at her residence with her family at her side and under the loving care of Hospice of Central Ohio.
She was born November 11, 1924 in Medford, Wisconsin the daughter of Dennis and Mary (Hanish) Harrold.
Barbara was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and also a member of the Greater Zanesville Singers. She enjoyed playing the piano, needle work and was an avid reader.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert "Bob" Oster, her seven children; Polly (Mike) Renner, Thomas (Sherry) Oster, Jeanne Marie Oster, Mary Jane Oster, William (Jeanette) Oster, Elizabeth (Guenther) Oster, and John Oster; 12 grandchildren , 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by 6 sisters and 2 brothers.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, June 5th with Christian Vigil service at 7:45 PM at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Tuesday June 6th at St. Thomas Catholic Church with a Dominican Father as celebrant. Burial will take place at a later date.
