William "Bill" H. Page Jr., 94 of Zanesville died at 8:38 AM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Genesis Hospital under Hospice care.
He was born on Friday, February 23, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA the son of William H. Page Sr. and Catherine Elizabeth (Ramsey) Page.
Bill was a WWII Army Veteran, a member of the United States Marine Corps reserve and United States Coast Guard Merchant Marine Captain. He was an auto mechanic having been employed for many years at Dutro Ford and then later taught Auto Mechanics at the Guernsey Noble Vocation School where he retired in 1988. He was an avid Scuba Diver, enjoyed motorcycle riding and was a gun enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet A. (Vinson) Page whom he married in September 29, 1962; his sons; William H. (Becky) Page III and David W. (Pam) Page; a Step-son, Eric J. (Ester) Rittberger; grandchildren, William H. Page IV, Cody Page, Chase Page, Rocky Rittberger Jr., Lori Rittberger, Janet Loos, Jennifer Meaux, Timothy Rittberger, and Melody Rittberger; great grandchildren; Austin King, Christina Holt, Dylan Rittberger, Brittany Rittberger, Everli Loos, Wynston Loos and Brandon Haro; two great great grandchildren, Caitlynn and Marshall Holt; a step-granddaughter, Mysti (Doug) Hobson and step-greatgrandchildren, Kyle Hobson & Kaitlyn Hobson.
Bill was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by a granddaughter, Autumn Page and a stepson, Rock Rittberger Sr.
Friends may call 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, December 15th with funeral service with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating and military honors to follow at 7:00 PM at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date.
