Ronald "Ron" David Baldwin, 77 of Zanesville died at 11:01 AM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice.
He was born on Wednesday, January 01, 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late James Harvey Baldwin and Mabel (Menhorn) Baldwin.
Ron was formerly employed by the Times Recorder for 38 years, first in circulation department and then as a pressman. He also worked at the Alfred Carr Center and retired in 2009 from the Muskingum County Head Start. Ron was an avid Cleveland Indians baseball fan & he loved anything to do with World War II history. He was also a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and a former member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janina "Jan" (Neptune) Baldwin whom he married June 2, 1963; two sons, Steven (Susie) Baldwin of Nashport and Michael (Annastacia) Baldwin of Zanesville; seven grandchildren, Kyle Baldwin, Lindsey Baldwin, Audrey Baldwin, Sidney Baldwin, Alexandria Vensil, Dalton Morgan and Addie Baldwin; his siblings, Jim (Barbara) Baldwin of Kendallville, IN, Gene (Carolyn) Baldwin and Cheryl (Bob) Grisset both of Zanesville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will conclude at a later date at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
