John D. Yaw, 80, of Hopewell, passed away at 5:15 AM Saturday February 25, 2017 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice.
He was born August 9, 1936 in Cambridge the son of the late Leland and Oral Davis Yaw. John retired after 47 years with E. Mast and Sons Construction. He loved to build and repair anything especially restoring old cars and riding his motorcycle. John was the best husband, dad and grandpa. He was good, kind, selfless and always there for his family.
John is survived by his wife: Lois (Martin) Yaw to whom he was married 55 years. Daughter: Michelle Mc Donald of Zanesville. Grandchildren: Ian, Jake and Maddie Mc Donald. Sisters: Judie Lewis of West Virginia and Marsha Nau of Canton. Nieces: Kim Alfman and Marcie Lake.
Preceding him in death were his parents, son: John A. Yaw and brother: David Yaw.
Honoring the family’s wishes there will be no services held for John.
Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave Zanesville is assisting the Yaw family with arrangements.
