George Edward Wright, 81 of Zanesville died at 8:35 AM Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the The Oaks at Northpointe.
He was born on Friday, February 22, 1935 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of Joseph Henry Wright and Mabel Viola Acheson Wright.
George was Methodist by faith and a United States Marine Reservist. He was a supervisor for many manufacturing companies including, Timkin Roller Bearings, Essex Wire, Abbott & Parker Hanifan Manufacturing. He enjoyed tinkering with all kinds of things and could fix anything, playing the lottery and especially enjoyed following his grandkids in sporting events and other activities.
George is survived by, four daughters, Diana Combs of Marysville, Connie (Bill) Stout of Thornville, Brenda (Tim) Maxhimer of Zanesville, and Judy (Randy) Cale of Blue Rock; Grandchildren, Patsy (Kenneth) Smythe, Amy (Dave) Love, Tina (Eric) McLean, Adam (Mindy) Stout, Ryan (Megan) Combs, Dave (Ashley) Dilley, Justin (Stephanie) Cale, Tiffany (George) Walsh, Stacey (Joe) Heath, Leigh (Justin) Pierce, Jenn (Anthony) Wagner and Beth Cale; 19 great grandchildren and one on the way; and a sister Jennifer (Kenny) Miller of Zanesville and his beloved dog, Rosco. George was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife, Beverly Jean (Holsky) Wright; a brother Robert Wright, and two sons-in-law, Barry Combs and David Dilley.
Friends may call 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on February 19, 2017 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with funeral service at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 20, 2017 with Pastor Karen Walters officiating. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
