Emma Gertrude “Dood” White, of Sonora passed away Sunday April 23, 2017.
Emma was the daughter of John & Alma (Tom) Greiner. She graduated from New Concord High School in 1938. She was a member of the Sonora United Methodist Church, the Eastern Star Laura Chapter of Norwich; she was a painter, a quilter, and enjoyed cooking and baking.
She is survived by her daughters Beverly (Kurt) Browning, Sonora, Sandra Alexander (Ed Shepherd), Grandchildren Rhonda (Ashley) Lampton, Deanna (Brent) Davis, Rob (Virginia) Browning, Chad (Darla) Browning, Barry (Christine) Browning, Craig (Jenny) Mehaffey, Melissa (John) Wilhelm, Emilee (Tim) Potts, Lindee (Matt) Strauss. Great grandchildren, Dylan, Hayden, Rachel, Maycie, Andrew, Brody, Jessie, Brett, Avaree, Delanee, & Brady. Great-Great grandchildren Aubree & Bryer. A Son in law Tom Mehaffey, & Several Nieces & Nephews.
She is preceded by: her parents, Husband Robert L. “Bob” White, Daughter Dixie D. Mehaffey, Sister Lois Buchanan, Brothers: Weldon Greiner, Bernard Greiner, John Greiner Jr., Richard Greiner, A Son in law Bill Alexander, and an infant granddaughter Gina Darlene.
Friends and neighbors are invited to attend the funeral service at 1:30 PM on April 27, 2017 at the St. Paul Cemetery in Zanesville, OH.
Friends may make contributions in Emma’s memory to the Perry Twp. Fire Department, the Sonora United Methodist Church, or Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care.
The family wishes to thank the Genesis Morrison House, and the care givers who so lovingly cared for Emma; Joan, Melissa, Cheryl, Cindy, and Sonia.
